The UK organic industry plans to run a three year integrated marketing campaign to help increase sales of organic products and promote the “organic brand”. The campaign, which will include press advertising, aims to drive a 15% increase in sales per year for the three years of the campaign.
We have already reached our initial target of £250,000 funding per year, which is fantastic news, and shows the enormous commitment from the industry to run a generic campaign.
As more companies hear about this campaign, the funding is rising so we are not going to stop now! The more we raise, the more EU match funding we can apply for and the greater impact the campaign will have. For example, a further £50,000 raised from industry would become £100,000 with match funding and would allow us to buy approximately 15 more adverts in women’s magazines ensuring that more people see the message. So our new target is £300,000.

As well as press advertising the campaign will include PR and digital media, and will target the main shopper - women - aged 25 – 54 years old. It will encourage the heavyweight organic buyers to go back to pre-recession spending on organics, and the featherweight buyers to increase their spend too.
Over 50 organic companies, large and small, have already pledged financial support. We urge you to join us too and be a part of an exciting initiative that will reinvigorate the organic market and increase your sales.
